The Joy of Christmas Fair, held on December 1 and 2, 2023, was an occasion full of laughter, great food, wonderful items to purchase, and yes, joy!
On Friday evening, during Wallingford's Holiday Stroll, we offered fresh hot dogs off the grill and cider to the folks out enjoying the evening, despite some drizzle and rain.
Inside Congregational Hall, the Fair was buzzing with people. Our fabulous Santa posed for Christmas portraits, and spread his great good cheer to all who visited with him.
There were wonderful handcrafted items to purchase, wreathes, and lots of jewelry and unique items.
On Saturday, the Cookie Walk is a favorite, along with our delicious breakfast sandwiches and hearty lunch.
Our cooking crew was great! And piano music accompanied the lunch crowd.
Our youth offered facepainting to children, and were wonderful, helpful elves.
Our Joy of Christmas Fair could not have been possible without the many many hours of hard work by dedicated volunteers, who crafted and cooked, set up and cleaned up, decorated and organized, baked and donated, and gave so generously of their time and talents. It truly was an event full of joy, the blessing of seeing old friends, the sharing of laughter and a meal, the excitement of finding just the right gift, all wrapped up in the Spirit of Christmas.
