The First Congregational Church of Wallingford is governed by the members of the church, who exercise the right of control in all its affairs.
A Vision Board empowers our work towards the church's mission and vision. The six Ministry Teams work to implement and achieve those goals. The Vision Board serves as the executive body of the church and manages strategic issues.
The Vision Board is led by Co-Moderators, who are elected by the congregation. A Coordinator from each of the six Ministry Teams serves on the Vision Board. The six Ministries are Worship, Faith Formation, Membership, Mission and Outreach, Congregational Care and Administrative.
The Annual Meeting of the church is held on the second Sunday in June. Officers of the church and members of the Ministry Teams are elected by members of the congregation. Budgets and objectives for the year are adopted.
