As the hymn said, "This Is a Day of New Beginnings." January 4 was a day of wonderful spirit, enthusiasm and joy.
The Pastoral Support Team welcomed Pastor Jeff with gifts of welcome, thanks, and promises that we in the congregation will bring our talents, time and energy to our service to God together.
Pastor Jeff's first message centered on the opening verses of John, 1:1-28 and new beginnings.
We experienced our first meal as a church family as we shared the Lord's Supper.
Greetings and introductions were made following the service.
And then there was cake! A lovely reception followed worship where folks could visit with Jeff and begin the process of getting to know one another.
Many thanks to the Search and Call Committee for all they have done for our congregation as we begin a new chapter in the life of First Congregational Church of Wallingford. And on to year 351!
