September 14, 2025 was a glorious day as we began the church program year and continued the celebration of our 350th Anniversary.
The Church School kids and their teachers gathered outside before the traditional procession, while others worked to decorate the sanctuary with brightly colored balloons and prepare for the picnic to follow worship.
The Church School was introduced to the congregation, and the congregation to the kids, and they were encouraged to reach out to one another in caring support.
Then they were off to their classes.
The theme of the morning was weaving our community together, and everyone contributed a ribbon to the tapestry. The music enhanced the message.
Following worship, everyone spilled out into the sunshine and onto the Parade Ground for our annual hot dogs and ice cream picinc. There was great fellowship and conversation. There was a "scavenger hunt" adventure when folks filled out a bingo-type card answering questions about various First Church fun facts.
There was an awesome face painter for the kids.
Thanks to all on our Ministry Teams, 350th Anniversary Committee, musicians and staff for creating and offering this wonderful day to Catch the Spirit!
